An Interpretation of the Nightmare

You have the most amazing dreams! I rarely remember mine, unfortunately.
Well, the Vonnegut, Jr., take on how this one would end would probably go
something like this: the aliens somehow make it into the cabaret and the
two societies split and reform in altered states. The aliens' society and
the cabaret society fuse, leaving the children to their realization of the
situation. The children prepare for war and finally stage an attack on the
new old generation/alien society. I'm not sure whether the aliens come
out on top or not.
