An Interpretation of the Nightmare

I'm not an expert dream analyst, but it seems to me that your dream represented a
battle we all undergo in our lives, quite possibly throughout our lives. A
moral battle between good (the police officer) and evil (the gang leader).
I believe the daughter represented innocence and the strife we experience
in trying to reach that innocence which was once so easily accecible when
we were children.But once we begin to learn, we are exposed to both good
and evil, thus the inevitable death of innocence. This was a dream of
awakening (on one level or another) thus explaining the "dream within a
dream" effect displayed by watching the t.v. show, only to find that it
was based on a true life experience that you were at the center of.Please
feel free to let me know how you liked my "ametuer interpretation".
